Spanish Country Report H1 2021

Overview

After a tough 2020, Spanish economy continues with its gradual improvement thanks to the central bank stimulus and the removal of mobility restrictions, which has accelerated internal and foreign consumption and decreased the temporary lay-offs (“ERTEs”). Latest reports indicates that Spain will return to pre-pandemic levels in Q4 2022.

The Spanish real estate market has resisted the shock, although the recovery has not been homogeneous between subsectors. Some subsectors have experienced a prompt recovery, such as residential and logistics, while others are still struggling such as offices or retail.

In this report, we have analyzed the evolution of the principal real estate sectors during the first half of the 2021.
