2020 was a year marked by the difficulties brought by the pandemic. This, combined with the fragile situation of the economy prior to Covid, has left Italy hard-hit, with a projected 9.5% contraction in GDP in 2020.
Contrary to original expectations, a ‘V’ shaped recovery is off the table, with potential future lockdowns in 2021 further delaying recovery. Even then, there are opportunities available as the ways of living and working are reshaped.
